On November 15, 2015, Secretary-General YANG Houlan attended the 2nd Yonsei-Tsinghua University Student Weiqi (Baduk) Match and delivered congratulatory remarks in the opening ceremony, emphasizing the important role of Weiqi enhancing mutual understanding and friendship among China, Japan, and Republic of Korea.
Secretary-General YANG Houlan also recognized the Weiqi as a symbol of trilateral cultural exchange mentioning historical examples. Introducing recent progress on trilateral cooperation in cultural field and the role of TCS, he requested continuous efforts of participants to deepen the trilateral exchanges in humanities.
