On July 18, 2024, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup paid a courtesy visit to Mr. TSUNODA Katsu, newly inaugurated as President and CEO of Asahi Shimbun.
Secretary-General LEE extended congratulations on Mr. TSUNODA's appointment as President and CEO of Asahi Shimbun and expressed his deep appreciation for Asahi Shimbun's unwavering support for trilateral cooperation and TCS, especially for its active cooperation since the establishment of TCS, including participation in the International Forum for Trilateral Cooperation (IFTC) as TCS's media partner in Japan. Secretary-General Lee also thanked Asahi Shimbun for its various efforts to publicize TCS and trilateral cooperation, including participation in the Trilateral Journalist Exchange Program (TJEP), and expressed his hope for continued close cooperation in the future.
President TSUNODA conveyed appreciation for the visit and for congratulating him on his appointment as president and CEO, said that the Secretary-General's visit gave him a deeper understanding of TCS and trilateral cooperation, and pledged to continue to put efforts to further strengthen the partnership between TCS and Asahi Shimbun.
