On August 19, TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup met with Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in Singapore.
TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup expressed appreciation for ASEAN’s continued support of TCS initiatives. He also introduced the six key areas of trilateral cooperation emphasized at the last Trilateral Summit, highlighting disaster management as one of the priority fields. He reaffirmed TCS’s strong commitment to expanding the scope of ASEAN+3 cooperation and pledged to make every effort to contribute actively.
ASEAN Secretary-General Dr. Kao Kim Hourn expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership with TCS. He noted that the six key areas of trilateral cooperation align closely with ASEAN’s own priorities and expressed his intention to strengthen collaboration with TCS in these areas.
Both Secretary-Generals agreed to make joint efforts toward the successful organization of the upcoming ASEAN+3 Summit, scheduled for late October 2025, recognizing the importance of ASEAN+3 cooperation and solidarity in light of the current global trade environment.
