On November 1, 2024, Secretary-General of TCS LEE Hee-sup had a Group Meeting with High-level delegation from China, Japn and ROK Esports Association on the sidelines of the Esports Championships East Asia 2024 Opening Ceremony. Secretary-General of the China Culture & Entertainment Industry Association, KONG Ming; President of the Korea e-Sports Association, KIM Young-man; and Council Member of the Japan Esports Union, YAMAJI Yasuyuki, were present at the meeting.
LEE Hee-sup said, the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games will once again include eSports as an official medal event, reflecting the ongoing efforts of the associations to promote social acceptance and raise awareness of the eSports. During the pandemic, the Esports Champions event was held using a combination of online and offline formats, which has helped maintain cooperation momentum and is expected to have an even greater impact on cultural exchange.
LEE Hee-sup pointed out, the three countries share a common proverb: ‘two heads are better than one.’ He looked forward to the three parties continue to maintain close communication, constantly deepening their friendship and exchanges.
Members of the delegation said that they would continue to actively support and participate in trilateral projects, further promoting friendly and mutually beneficial cooperative relations.
