Others Visit by Diplomat Candidates from the Korea National Diplomatic Academy 2024.07.09

On July 9, 2024, the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) received a delegation of 43 diplomat candidates from the Korea National Diplomatic Academy, led by PARK Chi-young, director of the education management division. TCS Staff welcomed the diplomat candidates and introduced the history of trilateral cooperation, the role of TCS, and ongoing trilateral cooperation projects in the areas of political, economic, and socio-cultural affairs. 

TCS Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup delivered a special lecture on trilateral cooperation to the future diplomats. He explained the key achievements and significance of the 9th Trilateral Summit Meeting, emphasizing that the three countries will continue to strengthen cooperation in ways that directly impact the daily lives of their citizens. He also highlighted trust as the foundation of society and stressed the need for continuous efforts to build and maintain it. 

Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji emphasized the importance of regional international organizations and the role of TCS. Also, he introduced his journey as a diplomat and offered valuable advice for future diplomats. Followed by him, Deputy Secretary-General YAN Liang interacted actively with diplomat candidates and highlighted the interconnectivity and cooperation among China, Japan, and ROK through the idiom “If you want to go far, go together.” 

Furthermore, during the networking session, diplomat candidates and TCS staff engaged in questioning each other and exchanging ideas, thereby broadening mutual understanding.
