Mechanisms Special Video Conference among Foreign Ministers on the Responses to the COVID-19 Outbreak 2020-03-20

On the morning of March 20, special video conference among Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Korea, Japan, and the People’s Republic of China was held to discuss responses to the COVID-19 outbreak. Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu participated in the conference. 

During the conference, the three ministers shared information on their countries’ domestic situations and responses regarding COVID-19, and also discussed the overall effects caused by the COVID-19 outbreak on the exchanges among countries and the global economy. The diplomatic authorities of the three countries agreed to continue to communicate closely to respond more effectively to the spread of COVID-19, while reaffirming the importance of trilateral cooperation in this regard.
