The Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) is pleased to announce that Ambassador IWATANI Shigeo (Former Japanese Ambassador to Austria) will serve as the new Secretary-General of the TCS, along with new Deputy Secretaries-General, Mr. CHEN Feng (China) and Mr. LEE Jong-heon (ROK). Ambassador Iwatani will succeed the inaugural Secretary-General, Ambassador SHIN Bong-kil who has served since the TCS establishment in September 2011.
- TCS Secretary-General is to be appointed on a
rotational basis in the order of the ROK, Japan and China with a two-year term
of office. The two countries not assuming the Secretary-Generalship nominate a
Deputy Secretary-General respectively.
To bid farewell to the outgoing Secretary-General and Deputy Secretaries-General (“Board Members”) as well as to welcome the new Board Members, the TCS will hold the Farewell and Welcome Reception on Wednesday August 28, 2013 from 18:30 to 21:00 at the Sapphire Ballroom (3F), Lotte Hotel (Sogong-dong), Seoul.
