State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan H.E. TAKEI Shunsuke, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Japan H.E. KONG Xuanyou and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Japan H.E. TYEN is a cross-generation and cross-career community network newly established by TCS after half a year preparation in absorbing various suggestions from different communities of the three countries. Young people from China, Japan, and the ROK can find their mentors across borders and pursue their personal and professional development. Nine (9) existing or newly organized youth programs of TCS will be conducted under TYEN, including Young Ambassador Program, Trilateral Youth Summit, Trilateral Youth Speech Contest, Young Scholars Forum, Young Rural Leaders Exchange, Children’s Story Exchange, CAMPUS Asia Alumni Network, TCS Internship Program and TCS SNS Supporters Program. By doing so, TYEN serves as a one-stop hub where young people could obtain project information and apply to participate. In future, TYEN will further introduce those youth exchanges programs that are affiliated to Trilateral Ministerial Meeting mechanisms and that are jointly operated by TCS and other institutes. TCS will work with experts and professionals on a yearly basis to provide mentorship on project operation, study, job seeking and career advancement for TYEN members. Meanwhile, TYEN provides funds for self-initiated projects by youth of the three countries. The first two projects are going to be carried out on April 1- July 31, 2023, and each will receive financial support amounting to $5,000 from TCS. TYEN and the project contest are now open for registration and application.
