Seminar & Forum 12th China (Hefei) International Household Appliance & Consumer Electronics Fair

The 12th China (Hefei) International Household Appliance & Consumer Electronics Fair was held in Hefei, China on November 16-18, 2018. High-level officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and People’s Government of Anhui attended the Fair. TCS delegation attended the opening ceremony and its key event: Forum of China-Japan-ROK Business Association Cooperation & Development of Home Appliance and Consumer Electronics Industry. Government officials and business representatives from China, Japan, and ROK shared their insights and experience in order to form stronger cooperation.
Deputy Secretary-General HAN Mei delivered keynote speech on China-Japan-ROK Cooperation with the background of Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative at the forum. In her speech, DSG HAN stated that China, Japan and ROK, as three major global economies, would enjoy further growth and explore more potentials through closer cooperation. She collected momentum for a closer and tighter China-Japan-ROK cooperation with an open, inclusive, and pragmatic mindset. Lastly, DSG HAN emphasized that as an international organization established by the three governments to promote trilateral cooperation, TCS had been and would be sparing no efforts to fulfill its mandates.
DSG HAN was interviewed by the Hefei Broadcasting and TV Station, and Hong Kong Satellite TV after the forum, where she stated the current and future opportunities and challenges for trilateral cooperation. She believed that the Fair and Forum stimulated business collaboration in the industry and provided a platform for Hefei to open up its market and welcome more foreign business and investment.
The China (Hefei) International Household Appliance & Consumer Electronics Fair is a leading event in the industry approved by the State Council of China and organized by MIIT of China, CCPIT and People’s Government of Anhui. Since 2007, the Fair has provided numerous business opportunities for companies in Household Appliance and Consumer Electronics industry from home and abroad. About 400 companies attended this year’s Fair. The forum was organized by China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), CCPIT Anhui and Hefei Municipal Government with participation of 200 representatives from China, Japan, ROK and other countries.
