Others TCS Board Members Paid Courtesy Visit to the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission of the ROK

On November 24, 2017, TCS delegation headed by Secretary-General LEE Jong-heon paid a courtesy visit to Mr. CHOI Jong Bae, Secretary General of the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC) of the ROK, and exchanged views on trilateral nuclear safety cooperation.
Since the significance of nuclear safety has been highly recognized especially after the Fukushima Daiichi Accident in 2011, Mr. CHOI underscored the importance of strengthening emergency preparedness among the three countries under the frame work of the Top Regulators’ Meeting (TRM) on Nuclear Safety and called on the TCS’ support in this regard.
Secretary-General LEE assured his full support to further advance the trilateral cooperation in the field of nuclear safety and noted the TCS will welcome any kinds of tasks to be given by the three Authorities.
