TC ActivitiesCCEA Influencer Tour 2024 ShizuokaOn May 11, 2024, the second stop of ‘Culture City of East Asia’ Social Media Influencers Tour 2024 (CCEA Tour 2024) started at Shizuoka, Japan. The 3-days trip invited 5 influencers to explore Shizuoka City, the CCEA 2023. The destinations of the CCEA Tour 2024 are Chengdu, China, Shizuoka, Japan, and Gwangju, ROK. Influencers will visit those cities and experience the culture, history, and cuisine of each city to introduce them. The collaboration videos would be uploaded on each influencer’s platform. The Chengdu section was held last April, and the Gwangju Session will be held in June. OthersSecretary-General CHAPAGAIN Jagan of IFRC visited TCSOn 10 May 2024, Mr. CHAPAGAIN Jagan, Secretary-General of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) paid a visit to Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup of TCS. Ms. DZHUMAEVA Olga, the Head of East Asia Delegation of IFRC and delegation of Korean Red Cross also attended the meeting. SG LEE appreciated IFRC for their interest to the TCS and briefly introduced TCS’s role in the field of trilateral cooperation. He also expressed the willingness to further expand cooperation between two organizations to create rigorous partnership for future collaborative projects, such as in field of disaster management. MR. CHAPAGAIN appreciated TCS’s willingness for the partnership with IFRC and showed expectations to collaborate more in the future projects with TCS. Showing strong interest in holding program or meeting that also invites CJK governments, experts and CJK Red Cross, he mentioned that IFRC is ready to deeply involve in collaborations with TCS in field of disaster management and youth issues. OthersThe Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands visited TCSOn May 8, 2024, H.E. Peter van der Vliet, the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands paid a visit to Secretary-General LEE Hee-sup of TCS.SG LEE appreciated Ambassador van der Vliet for his interest in the TCS. He introduced the role of TCS and the recent developments in trilateral cooperation. Ambassador van der Vliet explained the past experience of exchange and cooperation in the process of European integration, especially the youth exchange including the Erasmus Program.The two sides agreed to maintain good partnership to explore cooperation opportunities.2024.05.08

TC ActivitiesPoetry Beauty of CJK – CCEA Influencer Tour 2024 Cultural Salon was Held in Chengdu, ChinaOn April 29, 2024, the East Asia Cultural Salon was jointly held by the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat (TCS) and Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu People’s Municipal Government in DU Fu Cottage, Chengdu, under the theme of “the Poetry Beauty of CJK (诗话中日韩)”. Around 50 people attended the Salon, including TCS Deputy Secretary-General ZUSHI Shuji, and Mr. WANG Guangliang, Deputy Director of Chengdu People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. 9 influencers invited by TCS from China, Japan and Korea participated in the CCEA Social Media Influencers Tour 2024 addressed at the Salon.▲Group Photo of the Cultural SalonDuring the Cultural Salon, Deputy Director General WANG Guangliang warmly welcomed the delegation for visiting Chengdu. They spoke highly of Chengdu’s natural scenery, humanistic landscape and specialties, and agreed with the shared cultural values of “harmony in diversity” and “harmony in coexistence,” which have been cultivated by the exchanges among the people of the three countries over thousands of years. The LI sisters who introduce Chinese culture in Japanese on social media, expressed their amazement at Chengdu's captivating charm and its intimate atmosphere. They highlighted the city's rich food culture, Three Kingdoms heritage and pandas as particularly attractive for Japanese tourists. Japanese contents creator YAMASHITA Tomohiro expressed his enthusiasm for showcasing Chengdu’s merits to Japanese netizens. The ‘Cultural City of East Asia’ Social Media Influencer Tour was initiated by TCS in 2023, aiming to enhance the connection between the CCEA cities and further promote the brand of CCEA.
